The Office

I have a few more pictures I can post but I'm still trying to catch up on work. So that will come a little later.

ouch

My butt hurts from sitting too much. I think I've got past the point of any chair being comfortable. Blah.

at least I got through the "unread" in my mail box

Tomorrow I'll be up earlier and can hopefully make more headway. It's 1:30am here now so I better get to bed so I can get up earlier tomorrow. I hope I dream about being productive. That would be really satisfying.  And much better than my dreams last night which involved creatures from horror movies (although I wasn't really afraid, it was kind of gross).

People are awake this early???

And so many of them... You'd think it was normal or something.

oops!

I was messing around with the audio effects on my webcam/mic combo and I accidently left one one.  And then a client called!  And I sounded like a munchkin!!!  It wasn't as bad as it sounds.  But it wasn't good either.

multitasking

I think I just confused somebody because I answered the phone while trying to hold the concentration that I had on the project that I had open. Then they said their name and where they were from, which didn't really register. And then I said, "Hey, how's it going" in a very upbeat voice (like I knew them maybe). Which I think confused them because it was someone from the accounting departement of government agency. I think we may have swaped voice mails a couple times but this is not a person I probably ever talked to on the phone before.

In any event I came off as very friendly, so that can't be bad right?

not a fan

I'm currently not a fan of Plesk 9 - mainly the lack of a migration manager. Blahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

HURRAY!!!!!!!

Everything works now. Very, very happy.

Explination: All audio devises are working on my laptop. Previously with various drivers I've tried I could only get certain functions to work at the same time. Like external speakers, or mic, but not both.

So if you've got an XPS 1330 then apparently this is the right driver:

I don't know why that's not what they had posted on their website. I had to email support to get it. But I'm happy now.

if you're a developer...

I think this phrase is only funny if you're a developer:

"attempting to checkout with out creating an account"

Paul said it while we were discussing a website. I heard it and repeated it back to him and for some reason we both started cracking up.

A little later I was trying to figure out what was funny about it so I told ben, and he kinda laughed as well.

I think it may be twofold. One, if you think you're checking out without creating an account you're only kidding yourself. You have to create an account. If you choose not to, you still are, you just can't ever access it again. (Great choice). Two, I think "attempting" made it sound like they could try but they wouldn't be able to, like it was some cruel joke on them that sent them into and endless loop of pages. (kind of what was happening since some of the code needed to be adjusted).
