If you're thinking what I'm thinking then, no, this is not my normal thing.  In fact I've never had a pedicure before.  It was  an odd (to me) insertion into the tournament on Saturday.  Stormy had her division early and then we had to wait for several hours for Jill's division to come up.  In the meantime we ate and then... got pedicures.  I thought she was joking until we pulled up in front of a nail place and everyone walked in.  This group of small asian ladies swarmed us and recommended the "deluxe" pedicure.  Apparently we definitely needed the deluxe.  Ah, Ok.

It's taken me several days to get used to this.  I kept looking down and getting surprised and distracted.  Other people too!  It wasn't just me.

nice shaped head

A lot of people latey have said I have a nice shaped head. Not a comment you get when you have long hair.

That's what the person said who cut my hair today. Honestly I don't think it looks much different than when I cut it myself.

It's hard to tell on your own head though. I'll have to ask Mel. She'll have an opinion.

I kind of like it shorter. Maybe I'll keep it like this for a while.

Caution: taking a long ride after sweating in jiu-jitsu is not a good idea if you plan to take the helmet off in public. Luckily I ended my ride at home ;-)

But I think this haircut pretty much makes me look more like all the other Rippbergers who've had a similar cut.

I like it. Lots of people said it was cute. I'm not sure how I feel about having cute hair, but we'll see how it goes.

I was tired of the long hair, so it was a good change. I think I'll try a bunch of different styles now. I'll try to have more fun with my hair. I pretty much only put it in a pony tail or just left it down, which took no effort. I don't want to spend a lot of time on it but I don't want it to just be in the way either. That's what it seemed like to me before.

That's what the sign said outside "Hair Ba Doo Ba". Not really a fan of the name but I'd driven past the place a couple times on Amazon, on my way out to go driving on Fox Hollow. I'd seen the sign before, so I thought this might be the place to get my hair "fixed". Honestly I don't think I did that bad of a job myself. She just had to "round of the back" as she put it...

But if you look at a side by side comparison...

then you'll see definite improvement. But I have to say, this must have been how this haircut was developed. Because if you put your hair in a pony tail and then cut it off, you pretty much get this hair cut. And it was only $10 for the "fix" so I'd recommend it. The hair place, not necessarily cutting your own hair. But it was fun, so I wouldn't try to dissuade anyone either ;-)

P.S. Is it just me or does my neck look really small in the "fixed" pic??
